My 20006 s type trunk won't open. I tried using the key fob and button on the dashboard. Can you assist me?

Start by checking fuses. If they are good, we need to get into the trunk. There is an electric solenoid that releases the trunk when you push the button. I need to know if there is power to it.

With the car central locking unlocked, you can try opening the trunk by pressing the release button beneath the trim in the license plate area. When that fails (w/c implies there is a problem with the release actuator motor), to the left of the button you should find a key slot where you can insert the key and manually open the trunk lid by inserting the key and turning it.
