egr valves needed changing?

Jaguar car stopped took it to garage fault finder said egr valves needed changing that done and car won't rev past 2000 now they have no clue. Car still at garage since mid December they don't know what next

Check exhaust system, MAF, MAP and TPS sensors and also recheck EGR valve
