If a suv has 125000 without adding coolant to the car is it possible that it can go low where there is none in the resivor. As it was never added or checked before this mileage.

Flush out the cooling system and replace the antifreeze with correct type

I'm not sure what it is you're trying to find out here. If it's low, fill it up then start checking it more often to see if it loses any more.
