I have a 2006 Hyundai elantra and when i stop the heat turns cold. What would cause this? The tempter gauge does not fluctuate during driving.

your heater core maybe partially plugged you could try back flushing it. what's happening is water is not flowing thru heater at stop. water pump is turning slower because engine is idle. lower water flow is apparently not getting thru heater core.

or lower flow is too slow to keep up with heat extraction.
