2006 GMC Sierra Truck not shifting

My 06 GMC Sierra just had brake pads master cylinder and brake booster replaced and not it will not shift out of park and brake lights do not come on.what could be wrong?

maybe they unhooked the brake pedal and forgot to put switch back on or it came out of adjustment. have who ever fixed it come out and take care of it or have them pay for a tow to get it back to them.
