oil light is on and when I accelerate the gauge goes to the high side and when I decrease speed it does the opposite.

Make sure the oil is clean and full. NOTE: It is normal for oil pressure to increase when the engine revs. It is also normal for it to go lower at an idle. IF thelight is on, I would recommend having the oil pressure checked with a mechanical pressure gauge. Most parts stores will lend them. If the pressure is good, chances are the oil sending unit is bad.
