2006 GMC Envoy New Catalytic Converer(s)

I am trying to replace the catalytic converter(s) with an OEM replacement from the dealer. I cut the old pipe out, but am having trouble getting the "Y" pipe back into the truck. I have removed the cross member, but it still is an issue. I am wondering if there is a trick to this that would make this easier?
