small ticking sound from engine

2006 Mustang GT ticking noise with 60,000 miles I am unsure of the problem. What is some ways to trouble shoot the problem? Or is this a normal noise?

I just bought this 06 Mustang with 60,000 milies on it runs super great. I noticed on the way home that it was making a small ticking sound everything is stock on it. Could this be a spark plug problem or something with the gas or something major?

It could be the injectors making noise or it could be a crushed lifter.
The best way to see where it is coming from is to use a large screwdriver, put the blade end in different places around the top end while keeping your ear to the butt end.
It works pretty well and you will be able to tell if it is the injectors or the lifters.
