transmission wont shift

I have a 06 ford mustang v6 engine automatic transmission. The other day it drove fine. I started the car and tried to reverse and it wouldn't .I tried putting it in drive and it still wouldn't move. I left it for a few days and I strayed it again and it moved and drove fine. I started it a few days later and again the same problem can't go in reverse or drive.

could be the linkage or may be that the transmission is low on Fluid. If you have owned the car for a while it it suddenly started doing it then have the transission and filter changed.
