2006 Ford F-350 Codes come on under boost

2006 Ford F350 6.0 Diesel- Codes are MAP and underboost. Replaced the MAP sensor and didn't help. Surges and thumping sound from the engine similar to a sylnoid sound. This occures when pulling a hill or under aceleration. Power loss noticeable when turbo turns on

you may have a failed turbo. if the boost gauge does not respond when accelerating, it will set a code.
