losing speedometer

hi i have an 2006 f-250 and the speedometer will go up to a 100 mph or 25 mph when the truck is idleing or moving..

Have you checked for codes in the computers yet?Also have you checked the speed sensor?

yes i checked and no codes come up and i checked the speed sensor and everything appears to ok

Did you also inspect the wiring to the speed sensor terminal tightness at the speed sensor connector etc?How often does it act up?ALso do you have a multimeter?

yes i have checked the wirering harness it acts up alot lately im just about ready to buy a new sensor and see what happens
