keeps dying and running rough

just replaced battery last night she left out of town now keeps dying and running rough does the codes need reset? or any ideal was running fine last night

Did you ever have the alternator tested?

the batterie was six years old and was going out of town just replaed it. we have had no trouble with the truck just knew it was get cold didn't want stranded

I would make sure the battery cables are clean and tight and have the alternator tested.I always test the alternator when i change a battery better to be safe then sorry.Also habe it scanned for codes before checking for loose dirty battery cables.Also if it ran fine before the battery change you may have to remove the battery cable for a few mins then out it back on to see how it runs.Let me know what you find.

It always happens when your not close.I'm in Houston and she is in Bryan Tx.She is going by after class to have Alt checked and coded that way might know where to start I will let you know as I find out Thanks

Well got her truck home it coded 506. When they replace battery didn't clean th glaze off the post. I cleaned it up re attached cables started fine and check engine light went out and idles smoothly Thanks
