I have a 2006 Ford f150 FX4 with a 5.4L V8. I have a couple of problems that I think are all tied to the same thing. First the A/C does not get cold it just blows warm air? Second the cruise control does not work at all. And third the Four wheel drive will not engage. There was a previous owner and I have no idea who he was I bought it from a dealership and have been trying to figure it out for the past year. I have gotten some advice from a friend and am changing the spark plugs asap and also I may take it to Ford and get them to check the wheel hubs. Apparently there is some sort of seal that needs to be changed when the ball joints are changed and if that seal leaks it shuts down the 4x4 and god knows what else, but I'm really not sure of what to make of any of this Please Help!

PS what is your guy's take on 3M Carbon fibre vehicle wrap? I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and we have some real cold winters, do you think this will effect it?

First, I can't think of any seals that need replaced when the ball joints are replaced. So I can't answer that. As far as the problem, can you explaine what is leaking? Also, if you are replacing the plugs, make sure you know what you are doing. These engines have a history of the threads coming out with the plugs or the plugs breaking in the head.
