I am working on an E350 box truck that has a vacuum leak somewhere in the ac system. While driving down the road the ac blows out the defrost, but while at idle the ac blows out the vents. What would be the cause of this?

check the main vacuum line that supplies the system for cracks and leaks, this is a case of checking all the system supply lines as there will be a leak, get a small hose and listen around the switch and actuators, you may hear a hiss from a leak, start here.
