62,000 mi 2 months left on warrenty!
Truck would not start in driveway.It would not show a code, we could not 'talk' to the computer.
Had it towed to dodge dealer.
Computer was fried.
Declutching fan modual fried causing the computer to go.
NOW I was told that the declutching fan shorted out and was throwing false negatives, so now it had to be replaced!
The dealer cannot get the fan, pulley, and clutch off. He said that he has to ruin everything in order to pull/ cut it off for a complete replacement!
Computer, $3,200
Fan modual $500+
Fan clutch & pulley $550+ 10hrs labor!???
I asked him to STOP EVERYTHING before he destroys
the declutching fan assembly.
He said that nothing is covered under the motors 100,000 mile 5 year warrenty!!???
IS THERE A TRICK TO GETTING THE FAN & PULLEY OFF A 5.9 DIESEL without destoying it?
