Stereo doesn't always come on

2006 Dodge 2500 5.9l Cummins. My stereo doesn't come on all the time when you start the truck. When you turn the key to the "on" position it comes on everytime. But when you start the truck it comes on about 2 out of 10 times.

It could be related to the ignition switch. You need to check to see if there is power to the stereo when you start it. If there is none, you need to trace the wiring back to locate where the loss is. If there is power, it is internal in the stereo (could be a bad on/off switch and the vibration from the engine causes it to lose contact.
