I have a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. How do you take off the gas charged rams that assist the back hatch door up and down? I do not see a clip or snap ring?

Unless they changed something, there is a bolt on each end to unscrew. They will be torx head bolts and there might be a decorative trim cover over the one on the gate. Use a 2x4 or something similar to hold the gate up while the struts are removed one at a time.

Forgot to mention there will also be lock nuts that must be loosened before the bolts are unscrewed. Be sure they are tight when you're done to prevent the threaded holes from tearing out. Look for signs of cracking around the holes.
