Just bought a 2006 dodge SXT van and the dealer said he wasn't able to give me my sticker because they put a new battery in it and I needed to drive it 100 miles. Now I understand that because I do as much of my own car work as possible. We live one hour away from work and need to get there.

My scanner doesn't display any other codes just p0700 code.

That is just a generic PCM code to indicate a transmission problem. You will need a professional scan tool capable of accessing the Transmission Control Module for more specific info.
