getting water in cabin front passenger side, looks like from the firewall, there is a structure there put looks like a plug of some sort, this only happens when ac is on, do I need to replace this plug ? about a 1.5 or 2" diameter. has been going on for some time, is now getting worse.

This is typical of a plugged AC condensate drain. Look for a 4" long rubber hose with a 90 degree bend hanging down under the hood on the passenger side of the firewall. Squeeze the end of it to open it up. If nothing comes out squeeze the ring to remove the hose, then carefully poke a pencil in the tube to clear the obstruction.
