2006 Chrysler Pacifica won't rev above 3000

Driving home car all of a sudden would not accelerate pulled car into driveway. Put car in park won't rev past 3000 and then starts to waivier. Turned car off. Starts right up. If it is a computer issue can I disconnect battery and clear the issue

If I recall, on these engines, the crank sensor controls ignition and injection up to around 2500 RPMs. After that, the cam sensor takes over. Is the check engine light on? Also, do you have access to a real time scanner that you can watch to see if there is a signal from the cam sensors?

It is also equipped with a rev limiter that will keep the RPM's from going too high when in Park or Neutral

In neutral it will not rev overr 3000 rpm and souns like oscilating

The car comes with a rev limiter from the factory. The oscillating sound is normal. What's the point of revving the engine in neutral though?
