2006 Chrysler 300 loud tapping underhood

the last 3 weeks my car has a loud tapping sound it sound like its out of oil but i've had it changed last week,and it's the right level, also i was told to change from reg unleaded to the premium it did the last 2 times i put 15.00 in so can you help me

a car that needs higher octane gas usually has just a light chatter that gets slightly louder when the engine is revved. this loud knocking sounds more serious to me especially if the high test fuel made no change. sounds like a bent or burnt valve
