My knob for my AC to turn into recirculated air.

My knob for my ac to turn into recirculated air and outside air was working. Now its not I would like to keep it on recirculated air but it will not change its on outside air flow. Ive tryed turning the knob to recirculate inside air but the vents wont change. How canbthos be fixed
