engine shut off going down the road

What will cause a chevy venture motor shut off going down the road you can wait a few mins. and it will run again then do it again in 30 min. or so.

When your going down the road motor will shut off.Then after you set there a few mins. it start up and run for 30 mins. or more and shut off again and it keeps on doing it.
