Sounds more like a motor mount. You'll need a helper. Lift hood. Block front wheel. Engage parking brake. STAND on regular brake pedal (emergency/panic stop). Stand next to open hood, by front wheel. Helper in cab shifts into Drive and depresses accelerator to bring RPM up to 1500 and back to idle. Watch and listen. Do you hear the clunk? Did you see engine jump? Yes? Motor mount. No? Shut engine down and check u-joints for play.

cadieman, I'm fat and I can slide under my dad's Silverado without a rack. Just a piece of cardboard.
