I have bought a used truck and I want to do a tune up on it for performance but not sure what all to do. I know changing the spark plugs and air filter. What else can I do engine wise that I can do without taking it to a professional. I'm more do it your kind of guy.

There is not a great deal you can do to improve performance with out spending a fair amount of money, have you a budget for this?

Start with a quality set of headers and a matching exhaust and set up a cold air induction, this is a good place to start.
