why does the traction control light come on every other ignition cycle?

Traction control light comes on and stays on when I turn the ignition on and start the engine.When Iturn the ignition off and than on again and start the engine the traction control light comes off and stays off.What would cause this?

Your going to have to have it scanned for codes and give me the exact code numbers and will go from there.Make sure you right down the exact code numbers.
