What type of wheels were installed and are they the same size as the OEM wheels?

The code you are getting is related to the YAW system. I will try to explain it. The Yaw rate sensor measures the car's rotation rate. Basically, the sensor determines how far off-axis a car is “tilting” in a turn. This information is then fed into a microcomputer that compares the data with wheel speed, steering angle and accelerator position. If the system senses too much yaw, braking force is applied. Lastly, the wheel speed sensors measures the wheel speed. If there is a change there (difference in wheel size) the stabilitrac system will malfunction and the ABS will stop working. The entire car is being monitored.... basically, steering, speed, stopping, the vehicle's axis is monitored, and everything comes together to determine if the computer needs to compensate for driver error. I hope this helps and doesn't add further confusion in your life.

As far as the parts they want to replace, I would have to question why they were fine prior to the new wheels.

I am glad you see it the same way I see the problem. Why it start after the new wheels were installed. Yes, they are aftermarket but the same size. The rear driver side wheel TPMS also stop working the same day and Tire Discount already replace it 3 times but they stop working after a few hours.

I am thinking about replacing the wheel hub. I read that if it malfunction then the vehicle thinks the tire is flat and the Stabilitrac light comes on. Maybe check power output on the wheel sensor from every hub?

By the way, the vehicle runs smooth as always and the ABS light is never on, only the Stabilitrac. Yesterday, they reset the TPMS and after a few miles the rear driver side stop working. They explained that the ABS module need to be replace. The problem is that no one seems to find the correct part and recommends me to leave it like that! They also said that it will be very expensive.

Any recommendation?

With the code which is present, the module sounds like the problem. However, it is strange that the problem started after the wheels were changed. I'm not sure why the TPMS was bothered with unless there was no signal from the sensor.

Without the vehicle in front of me, it makes it difficult. Can you leave it as they suggested? Yes, you can, but you will not have a functional stabilitrac system.

Were the new wheels or tires a different size?

The Wheel size is the same 17x7"/5x115mm, +40mm offset but the originals offset is 46mm. Do you think those 6mm maybe cause the stabilitrac to malfunction?

TPMS is not sending signal and will be replaced on Saturday. The manager at Tire Discount explained that the TPMS is not working because I need to replace the ABS module. I personally believed that's wrong, but they will install a new this weekend.

I believe he is wrong too, but anything is possible anymore. As far as the offset, one would believe that small of a difference wouldn't cause the issue. However, these vehicles are so complex, it could.

It might be a good idea to install a set of 6mm spacers to make the new wheels 40mm go to the original offset of 46mm. Maybe that's the problem.

Truthfully, I don't like spacers. Could that make a difference, yes.

I didn't get them and decided to order a OBD2 ABS scanner instead. I will receive it on Friday and post the codes. I was told by another shop to install a used ABS module and take it to dealer for programing.

The TPMS issue was taken care. They were installing the wrong TPMS and was the reason for the failures.
