2006 Buick Rendezvous: Mechanic says need front lower bushings and showed me how current ones look. Since I don't know what they SHOULD look like, I'm not sure how urgent it is. Mechanic at another place says bushings are ok. Who to trust??

Bushings will slowly deteriorate and that leaves a lot of judgment call on when to change them. Some minor external cracking can go a while but if there is any rubber torn or missing, then it needs to be done right away.
