My car (CXL model) jerks, sometimes cuts off, and will jump rpm's. I have changed my starter, camshaft sensor, spark plugs, wires, and throttle body sensor. Please help.

I assume the check engine light is coming on or staying on when this happens. So if you have not already done so, have the trouble codes retrieved from the computer module and post them in here. AutoZone, AdvanceAuto, etc usually retrieve them for free.

Hello JESSYO3264,

I am sending you a link that if you decide to conduct the scan yourself it will be a great help to you. The link features an article with written step by step instructions and pictures explaining how to do the scan yourself. Also, I have included a link to our YouTube channel with a how to video on code scanning.

This is applicable even if your check engine light is not on.

Most scanners are inexpensive to purchase, you can purchase one online from sites like Amazon.com

Once you have the code number(s) please get back to us so that we can further assist you. We are always happy to help.

Thank you for visiting 2CarPros.com.

Kindest regards,

Renee

I had the scan ran. At fist it said camshaft sensor, I changed it, now the only code that it reads is for a sensor a which is the sensor that runs the gas hand.

I am not sure, all I know is that it is the float sensor that tells your gas hand how much gas is in the car. This has always showed up in scans it never caused a problem, the gas hand did not work and that code read, when I purchased the car in February 2014, the car has just developed this problem, and at first it read camshaft sensor now no code but the gas hand one, but it still does the same thing. Also, sometimes the car will just click when you try to turn the key like it will not crank, but if I unplug a battery cable and plug it back in it will crank.

Wiggle that starter relay, make sure it is not fitting loose. Whether it fits loose or not, change it anyhow. If it was loose though, that might be a problem if the new relay also fits loose. Find and wiggle the fuel pump fuse, too and replace it as well. Check the battery cable ends, both of them on both ends for being loose.
Check your fuel pump pressure for the engine running problem. It should be 56-62 psi.
If it is okay, try a fuel injector cleaning.
