2006 Bmw 530i Idrive Gives Warning Left Rear Turn Signal Malfunction Flashes

iDrive gives a warning of "Left rear turn signal malfunction. " The turn signal flashes rapidly. I replaced the bulb but that had no effect. I swapped the known good bulb from the right rear and still no change. What else do I need to check? Thanks

Have they been replaced with the correct type? Try new bulbs and see if the issue goes away
