Yesterday I was at a stop light, when I went to go I had nothing my car would only rev in both drive and reverse. Once I pushed the car out the street I got a transmission light on my dash. The car ended up being able to roll in reverse but a grinding noise was being made. I got the code P17e1, ratio monitoring clutch a. Does anyone know the possible issue ? Thanks.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Have you checked the condition and level of the transmission fluid? If the level checks out fine I would suspect the forward drive clutches have failed. Check the transmission fluid level and clear code then go for a test drive up-shifting and downshifting through all gears. If symptom/not working persists the transmission is faulty. I've attached a description below.Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
