Audi A6 problem?

What would make my A6 quottro Audi traction light/and engine light come on? It also smelled like lawn mower gas smell from the exhaust. And it's smoking from the exhaust with white smoke.

1st step should to check for code s
Codes should pin point to the troubled area

What if it does not start? Could it be bad gas?

If no start, check for fuel pressure and you can extract a fuel sample and test (bad fuel will cause a no start or running bad , condition )
check for spark
codes should help too
