It shakes when I go about 50 mph but doesn't shake when I go 30 mph

Check tire balance and check for a damaged rim or shifted belt in a tire. Since you feel it in the steering, most likely the problem is in the front.
NOTE: I assume to feel the vibration, nothing has to be done such as applying the brakes.
