would a weak battery cause s60 to throw codes of misfire? ...

2005 s60 2.5T FWD already changed plug w/ OE volvo had original battery in car had tested and only came up to 215CCa under load...Car would rough idle and cut out/stall before having tested. Just finished c/o battery tonite...we'll see tommorrow

It could cause a misfire, but the alternator should have maintained enough voltage to avoid that from happening. make sure the alternator is maintaining the battery. With the car running, it should be around 14 volts.

Seems like you could have 2 different issues here? But which cylinder is the one misfiring? Ignition coils are very common to fail on these vehicles.
