2005 Volkswagen Jetta Car Suddenly Revs Down On Own While Driving Switch Off

my car suddenly revs up and down on its own while im driving, and i have to switch it off to stop that. sometimes at slow speed or while stopping at a junction it cuts off giving a battery indicator light. it doesnt want to start up immediately after both incidences.
at the vw garage they could not find errors according to the computer. the battery is about one year old.

This can be tricky to solve since it does not leave any hints (fault codes)... it could be an issue with the Throttle Body Control, a sensor problem or an Automatic Transmission Torque Converter Lock-up Clutch problem (if it is an automatic transmission).

If the car is a TDI, ignore the Throttle Body thought.
