2005 vw beetle 1.9tdi when the engine is hot it stalls when slowing down to stop, then, when I try to restart it takes a good 20sec turn to start up it turns but but fires up after 20 secs and stays on but when I drive it around and try to stop it stalls again, when it is cold it works fine. Please help

Such problems could be due to a fault with the engine control or sensors.

Have the engine omputer scanned for trouble codes and see what you come up with.

As there are no trouble codes and problem is related to operating temperature, check the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor.
