how do you remove the compass panel after removing the single screw?

compass & temp guage have quit working. briefly came back on for about 6 hours, went off - never worked again. information was correct when it came back on. i removed screw, but can not release panel. do not want to damage by forceful removal.

If you removed the retainer screws, it should pry off. Gently place a small flat screwdriver between it and its base. It should come off
