Hello..appreciate your website! We noticed yesterday that the rear air was blowing warm air in our van while the front was blowing cold. Temps outside are around 90. The fan is blowing fine. We dont have a gauge to check temp so we dont know if it is appropriate but I was cold..it felt normal to me in the front. We had to turn it full blast for the kids. We checked all controls and turned on rear knob to be sure it wasnt that.. temp knob was on blue.. warm air.. coming from upper 4 vents in the back. Nearly 2 years ago we did have the air conditioning replaced..the compressor ..by a reputable shop but not toyota..and it has been doing great until now.. let me add a weird thing that has been happening in case it is related to this. Over the past several months we have been hearing a slide whistle sound. .now this is the only way to describe this to you..almost like a siren tyoe whistle you here before a roller coaster or drop ride takes off at an amusement park.. it was infrequent from months.. and now over the last week or a little longer it has been every 5 minutes or more often going down the road.. its not loud but not subtle either.. now th air could have been going out in the back before yesterday and the kids may not have realized but seems weird that it happened all together.. and we notice that thw noise happens worse when fan knobs on both feet and upper and didnt notice at all when it was on the upper level only (the blower I mean) I had looked everywhere for anyone having that slide whistle and called Toyota and they have never heard of such.. but the problems may not be related.. but really seems like they would be since the frequency became way worse and all of a sudden the rear air stops blowing cold.. but we are puzzled. Thank you so much!! Any advice would be appreciated! !
