Why do my headlights come on after I turn off my 2005 Land Cruiser?

Check the headlight relay. It could be sticking and turning the headlights off.
Ensure the multifunction switch is in good working condition.

I should have mentioned that when I turn the truck on the headlights go out.

Is it equipped with Daytime Running Lights and/or Auto lights?

It's acting like it does. But none of the other Land Cruisers I'm working have it. Besides, there are no lights that come on automatically during the daytime. I looked at All-Data and it showed the location of the daytime running light relays but they are not in the location on the vehicle.

Seems you have a fault with the BCM which conrols the headlamp relays.
