The rear wiper on my 05 Toyota Highlander runs even though the steering column stem switch is in the OFF position. I pulled the breaker to stop it. I swapped motors but the problem remains. Any ideas?

I attached a wiring diagram for you. Splice #115 is under the steering column covers. Remove the cover and inspect the harness for chaffing and shorting to each other. Wiggle the harness around to see if the rear wiper stops working. If that is ok unplug the wiper switch. That should make the motor stop running. If it does then your problem will most likely be an internal short with the wiper switch.
