2005 Suzuki Vitara This Grand Vitara Standard Transmission Suddenly Having

This is a Grand Vitara, standard transmission. I am suddenly having trouble getting into gear. It seems okay when first starting out but once heated it refuses to go into 1st and 2nd gear. Today it even refused to go into any gear at all, a problem I found when trying to shift from 4th to 5th. I was suddenly not in gear at all and had to coast to a stop. Any ideas?

clutch may be failing. have it checked to confirm.
