Subaru cranks for about 5 seconds before starting from hot, but starts almost immediately f
When cold, it was diagnosed by Subaru main dealer as body control module at a cost of £600 plus labour, car is still the same after this was fitted.

Check fuel pump pressure. When checking, pay attention to fuel pressure drop off. That is when you shut the key. It should maintain pressure. If it quickly drops to 0, you have a leak. That will cause a delayed start.

If you need directions, got to our homepage under the DIY section. There are both directions and a video for check fuel pump pressure, regulator. NOTE: you will need a fuel pressure gauge. Most parts stores will lend or rent them to you.

Keep in mind, if the vehicle hasn't been tuned up for a long time, you may need plugs or other ignition components. Also, if the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned for trouble codes. Most parts stores will do it for free.
