2005 Saturn vue engine problem

My 2005 Saturn Vue 4 cylinder has the engine light flashing on and off. The motor is shaking like crazy and it is sounding like it is trying to die. What is causing this?

Would really help if you could get me the exact code number's?Have you ever changed the spark plug's they get changed every 100,000 mile's.You could have some bad plug's or a bad coil cassette from the info i have so far.The engine light is probably flashing because you have a really bad miss fire that could damage the cat.Let me know what you find.

I took it to autozone and they found no code. I will try the spark plugs and see what happens. I'll let you know. Thanks for the help.

With the engine light flashing you should at least be getting a P0300 random miss fire.But keep me posted on what you find.
