My 2005 saab 9-3 seems to have an oily residue in the AC condensate. I recently (3 weeks ago) had the refrigerant replaced as it was low. What could be the source of this contaminant in the condensate?

That is an indication of a leak whereby oil from within the refrigerant is getting out. That is the cause of the low freon level.
