2005 Proton Gen-2 Central locking with one key.

I have just purchased a 2005 Proton Gen 2 GLS and although have replaced the battery the one key I have still doesn't work. Have tried resetting it using a method Captain Proton suggested previously using the white dot button on the dashboard but only have one fob so was unsuccessful. Any help would be appreciated.

If the fob is bad, resetting would not work. You would need a new fob.

Thanks for getting back to us. Fair enough, what's the method for resetting one key and I'll try it? If it doesn't work ill know definitively and get hold of a new fob.

You mentioned the procedure recommended by Captain Proton and that should be the only way unless you have the correct scan tool to do it.
