jump starting

2005 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX

Could jump starting my 2005 Grand prix using the battery terminals and not the remote terminal in fuse box cause the car to run at very low RPMs? Runs normal at low speeds but slggish on highway RPM never went above 3000 when acceleration from 0 to 65 mpg.

No, that wouldn't hurt. The remote terminals are the for easier access. Check for vacuum leaks, check the idle air control valve, and check the throttle position sensor. You may want to check the fuel pump pressure.
