2005 Pontiac Grand Prix Check Gas Cap Engine Lights Came On Changed They Went

My check gas cap and check engine lights came on so i changed the gas cap and they went off and a few days later the came on again so i just changed the vent valve solenoid and i was wondering how long does it take them to go off or do i still have a problem?

Give it 100 miles. If it doesn't go off, have it done with a scanner.
