Aztek trouble

Belts are squeaking and Car runs hot intermittenly. When I rev the engine it cuts out at 4000rpm and goes back down, never passes 4000rpm.

Based on the noise, it sounds like a loose belt or there is something getting on it. Check to make sure the water pump isn't leaking coolant onto the belt causing the noise and causing the overheating issue. Make sure the coolant is fill. Also, make sure the belt is tight. The tensionier may be bad.
