I have a ssangyong rexton 2.7 diesel jeep. 2005.

The air con is gone, i want to know if i can remove it and put a smaller belt on instead

I do not think that you can on these engines, Is the compressor clutch hub still turning, if so you can leave it on as it is and disconnect the A/c clutch wire.
