i think i have water in my fuel. i have tried a drying agent which worked for about 1/2 a tank but i am now back to the rough idle and no acceleration. and in fact the 05 extera will not start. am i on the right track by assuming water in the fuel or is there something else i should be looking for? outside of draining the fuel is there something i can do to get it started and back on the road?

Can you get a sample of the suspected gas? I would recommend draining the tank, and refilling with fresh fuel to get back to running normally, if indeed the possible contamination of the fuel in the tank is the issue.
